Winter Park Day Nursery accepts children ages 6 weeks-5 years old. Visit the Fee Schedule for details on tuition and fees. In accordance with National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs (NAC) standards, Winter Park Day Nursery employs one teacher for every four infants, five one-year-old students, six two-year-old students and one teacher for every nine three-year-old students. This ratio exceeds the state standard of one teacher for every 11 two-year olds and one teacher for every 15 three year olds. Winter Park Day Nursery is a certified Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) provider. VPK is a state-funded program that provides pre-kindergarten education for four-year-olds. Children must be four by September 1 to qualify. The Florida Department of Education funds 540 hours in our morning VPK program. Winter Park Day Nursery gives our VPK students and additional hour each day to allow our children to have a nutritious breakfast and hot lunch at no additional charge. Class size is limited to ten children per teacher. Lead teachers are required by the state to have a CDA. There is no charge to parents for this program. Winter Park Day Nursery also offers extended day care with fees based on income.
Winter Park Day Nursery follows the state food program, so no outside food or drinks may be brought in. We are able to adjust the menu for food allergies, vegan, and vegetarian. Please call 407-647-0505 for any other questions or more information regarding the infant room specifications.
